The paper argued that precursor functions and cultural and economic effects of tourism determined its position in economic and technical cooperation in Northeast Asia. In order to ensure the steady development of the tourism in the area, author analysed the development foundation and cooperation potential of the tourism in the region and discussed its development strategy as well as the specific programs for Yanbian Area.
